Linear guide installation of the five steps and four points of attention

The field of linear guide rail application is very wide, and there are many names. Taiwan likes to call the line rail, slide rail, linear slide rail and so on. But in the domestic machinery and equipment industry are generally directly called rail.

Generally used to do mechanical equipment support and guide moving parts, according to the specified direction to do back and forth linear motion. Linear guide installation five steps:

(1) Before installing the linear guide rail, carefully check and clean up the burrs and dirt on the working surface of the installation machine. Because the linear guide is coated with anti-rust oil, please wipe it clean with washing oil before installation. The reference surface after the anti-rust oil is removed is easy to rust. It is recommended to apply lubricating oil with low viscosity for the main shaft.

(2) After placing the linear guide gently on the base, incompletely lock the assembly bolts to make the linear guide gently close to the mounting surface. (The horizontal reference plane of the base should be aligned with the side of the linear guide with the marking line. Use clean mounting bolts to secure the linear guide. At the same time, when inserting the assembly bolts into the installation holes of the linear guide, it is necessary to confirm whether the bolt holes match in advance. If the holes do not match and the bolts are forced in, the accuracy will be reduced.

(3) Tighten the stop screws of the linear guide in order to make the track close to the horizontal mounting surface. Using a torque wrench, tighten the assembly bolts to the specified torque. The linear guide assembly bolts are tightened in order from the central position to the shaft end, so that stable accuracy can be obtained.

(4) The rest of the linear guide is also installed in the same way until the installation is completed.

(5) drive the hole cover into the assembly bolt hole until it is on the same plane as the top surface of the linear guide rail.

Linear guide in the use of will inevitably present shortcomings, in order to reduce the use of the shortcomings, to ensure the safe use of linear guide assembly, please pay attention to the following four points:

(1) Sometimes the slider will move just by tilting the guide rail, so be careful not to drop the slider from the guide rail.

(2) the standard end cover is made of plastic, such as hard to hit or collision, it will make it damaged, so we should pay attention.

(3) the slider of the interchangeable product (that is, the guide rail and the slider can be arbitrarily matched) is sometimes provided in the form of a false rail. Therefore, when combined with the linear guide rail, it should be carefully installed to prevent the slider from falling.

(4) If you disassemble each part without authorization, it will lead to the entry of dust and reduce the combination accuracy of each part. Therefore, if it is not a last resort, please do not disassemble at will.
